A first peak at the "Nightmare On Elm Street" remake is finally here.

Helmed by first-time director Samuel Bayer, the film is based on a script by Eric Heisserer and Wesley Strick ("Wolf," "Cape Fear"). Steve Jablonsky ("Friday the 13th," "Transformers") was recently announced to be composing the score.

Krueger stalks a group of suburban teenagers after their parent's vigilante justice produces an unstoppable evil. As a dream stalking killer, Krueger leaves no chance for his prey to escape.

The film is set for an April 2010 release, and stars Kyle Gallner (Jennifer's Body"), Rooney Mara (Urband Legends: Bloody Mary"), Thomas Dekker ("Laid To Rest", "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles"), Kellan Lutz ("The Twilight Saga: New Moon), Katie Cassidy ("Taken," "Supernatural"), Clancy Brown (The Burrowers") and Connie Britton.
