'Let Me In' Casting Rumors Persist
Film will remake Swedish vampire flick 'Let the Right One In'
Overture Films is denying that Philip Seymour Hoffman is joining the cast of "Let Me In," a remake of the critically aclaimed Swedish vampire film "Let the Right One In."
A press release for the full cast is expected to be announced this week, according to /Film.
Casting speculation recently swelled, with rumors pointing to Kody Smit McPhee ("The Road") taking the role of Owen, formerly known as Oskar.
Furthermore, Chloe Moretz ("(500) Days of Summer," "Dirty Sexy Money") has apparently secured the part of Abby, formerly Eli.
"Let Me In" follows a young boy who is terrorized by bullies and is befriended by a mysterious young girl whose arrival coincides with a series of horrific deaths. Though he realizes that she's a vampire, his friendship with her is stronger than his fear.
Matt Reeves ("Cloverfield") will direct, based on the book by John Ajvide Lindqvist.
