How overzealous is overzealous when it comes to religion?

Stephen King explores that in his classic short story "Children of the Corn," which Syfy is adapting for the zillionth time starring David Anders ("Heroes") and Kandyse McClure ("Battlestar Galactica").

"Children of the Corn" tells the story of a couple on the verge of divorce who, while traveling down the desolate roads of Nebraska, hit and kill a child who runs out from a cornfield. When the couple, played by Anders and McClure, get to town to report the accident, they find no adults, and instead a bunch of kids who worship corn and don't like adults too much.

"Children of the Corn" airs Sept. 26 beginning at 9 p.m. ET on Syfy.
