Lussier Will Direct 'Halloween 3D'
'My Bloody Valentine' director joined by screenwriter Todd Farmer.
Patrick Lussier will direct "Halloween 3D," which is set for a summer 2010 release, according to Dread Central.
Dimension Films is looking to start production in early November. Lussier will be joined by screenwriter Todd Farmer ("Jason X"). They previously worked together on the Lionsgate 3-D flick "My Bloody Valentine."
This marks Lussier's second trip to Haddonfield; he served as editor on "Halloween H20: 20 Years Later."
Prior to signing aboard "Halloween 3D," Lussier was set to helm the Nicolas Cage film "Drive Angry." That project will now start production immediately after "Halloween 3D" is completed.
No hints about Myers' 3-D rampage were given. Will Scout Taylor-Compton, Brad Dourif and Tyler Mane return? Will Rob Zombie's interpretation of the franchise remain intact? Stay tuned.
