He tends to be known more for his hard-hitting drama’s, but now it seems that actor Leonardo DiCaprio plans to show the range of his talents by taking on a horror project. But don’t expect to see his face anywhere near it, because all of his work will be done behind the cameras. According to Horror-Movies, DiCaprio has signed on with Dark Castle Entertainment as an Executive Producer for the movie “The Orphan.”  The film plays on an old genre favorite where an apparently innocent looking child harbors a dark and sinister secret. After a young couple lose their young baby, they decided to adopt a girl who isn’t quite as innocent as she appears. Dark Castle Entertainment was formed by producers Joe Silver, Robert Zemeckis, and Gilbert Adler in 1999 and have since produced a series of horror-related projects including “Gothika,” “The Reaping,” “House of Wax” and the upcoming “Whiteout.” Peter Sarsgaard and Vera Farmiga will star in the film as the mother and father, and Jaume Collet-Serra is slated to direct.
