DollBites: Haley Signs For 3 'Nightmares'
PLUS: 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,' 'An American Werewolf In London' move forward
Jackie Earle Haley has signed on for three films in the new "Nightmare On Elm Street" series, according to Bloody Disgusting.
The film is lensing in the Chicago area, and is set for an April 2010 release.
Samuel Bayer, an award winning music and commercial director, is helming from a screenplay by Eric Heisserer and Wesley Strick ("Wolf," "Cape Fear"), based on the original story by Wes Craven.
The film stars Haley ("Watchman," "Bad News Bears") as Freddy Krueger, previously portrayed by Robert Englund.Â
Rooney Mara ("Urban Legends: Bloody Mary"), who plays Nancy Thompson, has signed on for two films.
The cast also includes Kellan Lutz ("The Twilight Saga: New Moon"), Kyle Gallner ("Jennifer's Body"), Thomas Dekker ("Laid To Rest," "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles"), Katie Cassidy, ("Taken," "Supernatural"), Clancy Brown ("The Burrowers") and Connie Britton. -- [Bloody Disgusting]

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' moves forward: Summit Entertainment is pressing ahead on "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse", the third chapter of Stephenie Meyer's popular vampire saga.
Director David Slade ("30 Days Of Night," "Hard Candy") will be working on the film from Aug. 17 through Oct. 31 at Vancouver Film Studios, according to a Production Weekly post on Twitter.
"The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" official synopsis: As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella (Kristen Stewart) once again finds herself surrounded by danger. 'An American Werewolf In London' remake rights secured: Dimension Films has picked up the remake rights to "An American Werewolf in London" from writer/director John Landis.
Producers Sean and Bryan Furst, who recently completed the Lionsgate vampire movie "Daybreakers," are developing this project for Dimension Films, according to Variety.
The story follows two Americans who are attacked by a werewolf during a vacation to England.
A Blu-ray edition of Landis' 1981 film is rumored to arrive this fall, complete the feature-length documentary "Beware The Moon: Remembering An American Werewolf In London." -- [Bloody Disgusting]
