Taye Diggs Cast As 'Dead Of Night' Villain
Actor to play vampire in the 'Dylan Dog' comic book adaptation
Brandon Routh is still holding onto the leading role in the "Dylan Dog" comic book adaptation, and now he has found his vampire nemesis.
Taye Diggs, the New Jersey-born actor who has made a career out of medical shows, has signed up for "Dead Of Night" to play the vampire villain. Of course, Diggs is by no means a newcomer to the horror genre and amongst his medical credits lie "House On Haunted Hill" and "Equilibrium."
He will be joining "Superman Returns" sidekick Sam Huntington (who played Jimmy Olsen) who will once again slide into sidekick status as Marcus. Originally named Groucho in the comic books after the black and white screen legend Groucho Marx, the character has been renamed for legal reasons but will still pay homage to the origins of the character.
This name change is by no means the only change made to the project †the location has also been moved from London to an as-of-yet unknown American city.
"TMNT" writer Kevin Munroe has taken control of the movie and "Dead Of Night" is slated for release towards the end of the year.
