There is no word on a director yet, but decisions have been made on who will bring about Freddy Krueger's gruesome and horrible facade. Effects guru Andrew Clement has been named as the man who will be responsible for designing the charred and melted appearance of one of the most fearsome horror icons of the 20th century. There is still no word on the actor who will be under the make-up however, or if Robert Englund will have any part in the project, according to ShockTillYouDrop. Clement has a host of genre titles to his name, including last year's monster-mash, "Cloverfield," for which he was part of the animatronics team that created the infamous monster that you could barely see. He is also working as a make-up artist on J.J. Abrams' forthcoming "Star Trek" reimagining and was part of the horror-filled "Spider-man 3." The movie is expected to go into production next month based on a script by Wesley Strick, with Platinum Dunes' Brad Fuller and Andrew Form producing. Samuel Bayer has been tapped to direct.
