As if “Wolfman,” “Nightmare On Elm Street,” and “Friday The 13th" weren’t enough, SciFi Channel has given the green light to a remake of Stephen King’s “Children of the Corn” ... with “Alias” and “Heroes” star David Anders in a leading role. Genre fans have an extra bonus as well, as opposite the former invincible Samurai is Kandyse McClure, otherwise known as Dee on “Battlestar Galactica.” TV Jab is reporting that the film will serve as a re-invention, leaving the door open to possible sequels in much the same way as the original, which was succeeded by seven other movies. The project is expected to stick closely to the original and sever as more of an updated telling of the classic tale. Filming commences Sept. 3. Thanks to Raissa for the tip!
