The story has been kept as one of Chris Carter's deepest secrets, but on June 22 a few fans got a chance to uncover the truth when a special preview was screened in Los Angeles. SciFi Wire is reporting that the sequel will certainly please fans of the scary, and also of the romantic side of the leading stars. "Shippers will be happy," Spotnitz said. However, one of the more interesting reveals following the preview is that Mulder (David Duchovny) is still searching for his sister, despite achieving closure on that particular chapter in his life during the seventh season. The two part adventure saw Mulder following the trail left by young Samantha after she was returned to Earth following her abduction. He discovered that she was returned and raised with the Cigarette Smoking Man (William B. Davis) and raised alongside Mulder's brother before eventually dying. Now it appears though that there is still a question on what happened to Samantha and that the paranormal enthusiast now believes she may still be out there ... along with the truth. Taking centre stage in the movie is the Big Yin, otherwise known as Scottish comedy legend Billy Connolly. Only in this movie he won't be causing much laughter as a psychic priest named Father Joe. Empire Magazine have also been hot on the trail of uncovering the truth and have just launched a series of photos from the movie on their website. "The X Files: I Want to Believe" hits theaters July 24.
