Last week, huge rumors about the ending to the upcoming "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins" hit the web that could potentially ruin the movie for many filmgoers. However fans shouldn't be too concerned, because according to rapper-turned-actor Common, the ending is still locked away.
"I haven't read the spoilers," Common admitted to SciFi Wire. "I actually don't know ... the end of the movie, to be honest. They been keeping everything, like, really hush and closed. So anybody that even says they got the end, I almost don't know ... if the writer has revealed the end yet, you know?"
Previous reports indicated that by the end of the movie, John Connor (Christian Bale) will be killed by Skynet and in order to keep his image alive, a re-configured Terminator is given a skin graft to replace the fallen leader. Many of the elements of the story tie-in with the existing spoilers and nudges that have already been released, however there has been no official confirmation that these reports are anything beyond rumor and speculation. Director McG himself has also commented that only three people are currently aware of the films ending.
Common also shed some light on the details of his character, revealing that he will be playing a freedom fighter against the machine menace.
"I play Barnes, who's part of the resistance," Common said. "I'm a freedom fighter alongside John Connor [Christian Bale]. And I'm just about to start filming it soon. Like, I've been out there for a second, and then I came back, but I'm about to film some more."
"Terminator Salvation" hits theaters in 2009.
