Originally he was planning on directing "The Hater" for Universal but then a little project called "The Hobbit" came along. Now Guillermo Del Toro will server as a producer on the project. According to Variety, the movie is based on the 2006 David Moody novel and features outbursts of seemingly random violence. The screenplay was adapted Glen Mazzara. One thing you shouldn't worry about is Del Toro spreading himself too thing because thats something he's keeping a close eye on. "I'll carry my weight on the creative side, in choosing elements and storyboarding, but it will be up to Mark and the director we choose to execute the day to day," Del Toro said. "The Hobbit" is a "monumental task, and I don't want to do anything that detracts from my attention to that." If you can't wait until either project is release, his comicbook sequel "Hellboy: The Golden Army" is released Jul. 11.
