Mark another Asian adaptation up on the board, because according to sources "The Art of the Devil" is being remade for an Americanized audience. Bloody Disgusting is reporting that Cerenzie-Peters Productions has managed to picked up remake rights to the Thai hit horror series "Art of the Devil," a horror series revolving around a series of black magic and revenge killings. Each movie in the series is completely standalone but also includes a few links to other members of the franchise. And if all goes well, this will become the first of many projects for the company. "There is a wealth of material that we feel culturally translates extremely well from the pan-Asian regions, and we feel we have an amazing franchise on our hands," Cerenzie-Peters Productions chief Christine Peters said. There has already been a series of Asian-based horror movies adapted for new audiences, including "The Grudge," "The Eye" and "One Missed Call." The original "Art Of The Devil" movie cost less than $1 million to make and due to its popularity has already been released in over 40 countries. Cerenzie-Peters Productions has signed a $100 million production financing partnership with Ghostrider Entertainment to develop the franchise.
