Whether you enjoyed the Americanized sequel of “The Grudge” or not, there is a third film in the works set to continue to supernatural saga … only this one will have a fresh story with fresh stars. According to Horror Movies, chilling child ghosts Takako Fuji and Yuya Ozeki have passed on the option to star in “The Grudge 3.” There has been no official reason for the actors skipping over the film, however speculation points towards a combination of real life age and the possibility of starring in the original Japanese version of the film that is also moving into production. “The Grudge” saw Sarah Michelle Geller investigate the supernatural possession of a house in Tokyo that was the site of a violent childhood for Toshio (Ozeki). In the second installment, Amber Tamblyn takes on the vengeance seeking spirits. This third outing for the venerable horror franchise will see a slight change to the existing formula as a Japanese woman heads to Chicago to help a family who are in danger from the ghost of Kayako. She alone holds the key to defeating him and saving the souls of the besieged family. Filming commences Mar. 3 in Bulgaria and is expected to last three weeks.
