New Line Cinema Assembles 'The Warren Files'

Film adds to cast as 'Saw' director James Wan prepares to shoot

New Line Cinema's upcoming horror film "The Warren Files" is adding to its cast as the project prepares to lens in North Carolina later this month, according to Variety.

With James Wan ("Saw," "Insidious") at the helm, the film is based on a script by "House of Wax" writers Chad and Carey Hayes.

"The Warren Files," which was originally titled "The Conjuring," centers on the true-life Perron family, who claimed that they lived with both friendly and sinister spirits in their Rhode Island farmhouse.

Recently signed to the cast are child actors Mackenzie Foy and Joey King, who will portray members of the family.

The actors are both set to appear in highly anticipated franchises this year; Foy will play half-vampire Renesmee Cullen in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2," and King appears in "The Dark Knight Rises."

Already cast in "The Warren Files" are Lilli Taylor ("State of Mind") and Ron Livingston ("Defying Gravity"), who also play Perron family members. Vera Farmiga ("Orphan") and Patrick Wilson ("Insidious") will play investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren.

Peter Safran ("Meet the Spartans") and Tony DeRosa-Grund ("Pros vs. Joes") are producing.
