'Deadman' May Stalk The CW
Network is developing an adaption of the DC Comics property
The CW is moving forward with a television adaption of DC Comics' "Deadman," according to Deadline.
"Supernatural" creator Eric Kripke will write and executive produce the adaption, which centers on Boston Brand, the spirit of a murdered man who can inhabit other people’s bodies and who helps solve crises in their lives.
Warner Bros TV will produce the show; it manages the development of DC properties.
Created by Arnold Drake and Carmine Infantino, the DC Comics book character made his first appearance in October 1967 in Strange Adventures No. 205. In 1986, "Deadman" received his first title, a limited-run series penned by Andrew Helfer with art by José Luis García-López.
Kripke continues to serve as an executive producer "Supernatural," the longest-running scripted series on The CW. The show, starring Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, is currently in its seventh season and is apparently poised to return for Season 8, according to Kripke.
In addition, Kripke is writing and directing "Haunted," a haunted house feature told from a ghost's perspective.
