Warner Bros. Takes On Eric Kripke's 'Haunted'

Spec script tells a haunted house tale from the ghost's perspective

Warner Bros. has purchased the spec script "Haunted" from Eric Kripke, who is the creator and executive producer of The CW series "Supernatural."

Kripke will direct the film, which tells a haunted house tale from the ghost's perspective.

"Haunted" will be spearheaded by Greg Berlanti ("Life as We Know It") through Berlanti Productions and Kevin McCormick's Langley Park Productions. Sarah Schechter will shepherd the project for the studio.

Kripke's credits also include the horror film "The Boogeyman" and his short films "Battle of the Sexes" and Slamdance audience award winner "Truly Committed."

In addition, he has directed several "Supernatural" episodes. The series follows two brothers, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) Winchester, who hunt demons and other creatures of the night. It returns for its seventh season this fall.

Berlanti recently worked with Warner Bros. on "Green Lantern," which he produced and scripted.
