'Silent Hill: Revelation 3D' Adds To Cast
Adelaide Clemens, Kit Harington sign aboard sequel to Christophe Gans' 2006 film
Adelaide Clemens and Kit Harington are joining writer-director Michael J. Bassett's "Silent Hill: Revelation 3D," according to Variety.
Shooting this week in Toronto, the sequel is based on the acclaimed survival horror video game created by Konami.
Clemens' credits include "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" and the upcoming "Mad Max: Fury Road"; Harington is set to appear in HBO's epic fantasy series "Game of Thrones."
Davis Films' Samuel Hadida and Don Carmody ("Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D"), who teamed with director Christophe Gans on the original film, will once again produce.
"Silent Hill: Revelation 3D" will follow a teenage girl and her father who are hunted by supernatural forces. On the eve of her 18th birthday, the girl discovers a shocking secret about herself as her terrifying nightmares intensify and her father goes missing.
"it's going to be a sequel to the first film whilst trying to remain true to the plot of Game 3, and will also work as a stand-alone movie for people who don't know the series," Bassett ("Solomon Kane") said in an interview with Empire last year.
