'Final Destination 5' Production Moves Forward
New Line Cinema's franchise will once gain receive a 3D treatment
New Line Cinema has started production on "Final Destination 5," the second installment in the franchise to receive a 3D treatment.
Making his feature film directorial debut is Steve Quale, who is working from a screenplay by "A Nightmare on Elm Street" writer Eric Heisserer and Gary Dauberman ("Burst 3D"), according to Bloody Disgusting.
"Final Destination 5" follows a group of coworkers who heed a premonition and survive a horrifying suspension bridge collapse. However, they were never meant to survive the accident, and Death is back with a vengeance to claim them.
Producer Craig Perry ("American Pie") returns to the franchise, teaming with executive producers Sheila Hanahan Taylor, Erik Holmberg, David Neustadter, Richard Brener and Walter Hamada.
Shooting on location in Vancouver, Canada, "Final Destination 5" will receive worldwide distribution by Warner Bros. Pictures.
The film stars Tony Todd ("Hatchet II"), Emma Bell ("Frozen"), Nick DAgosto ("Heroes"), Miles Fisher ("Mad Men"), Arlen Escarpeta ("Friday the 13th"), Jacqueline MacInnes Wood ("The Bold and the Beautiful"), P.J. Byrne ("Dinner for Schmucks"), Ellen Wroe (TVs "Huge"), Courtney B. Vance ("Flash Forward") and David Koechner ("The Office").
