Brit Morgan Lands 'True Blood' Role

'The Middleman' actress will play Debbie Pelt on HBO's hit series

Brit Morgan will join the cast of HBO's "True Blood," capturing the last major new role of the show's upcoming third season.

After an long search, Morgan (ABC Family's "The Middleman") has landed the part of Debbie Pelt, who is the ex-girlfriend of the werewolf Alcide (Joe Mangiello). Pelt possesses little affection for Sookie.

Executive producer Alan Ball has focused on bringing little-known actors aboard -- with the exception of Denis O'Hare -- for Season 3.

In addition to Morgan, the show's other new faces include Dawn Olivieri, Theo Alexander, Alfre Woodard, Grant Bowler, J. Smith-Cameron, Lindsay Pulsipher, Cooper Huckabee and Manganiello.

"True Blood" returns in June on HBO, and stars Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Alexander Skarsgård and Ryan Kwanten.
