Lionsgate has released three new "Daybreakers" clips.

The futuristic vampire thriller opens in theaters Jan. 8, and tells the tale of a mysterious plague that sweeps over the earth, transforming the majority of the world's population into vampires.

Humans are now an endangered, second-class species -- forced into hiding as they are hunted and farmed for vampire consumption to the brink of extinction.

"Daybreakers" stars Ethan Hawke ("Training Day," "Before Sunset"), Willem Dafoe ("Spiderman") and Sam Neill ("Jurassic Park"). It's written and directed by the Spierig Brothers ("Undead").
