Jackie Earle Haley's Fred Krueger finally has an official photo.

The image was apparently released by Platinum Dunes to counter a series of unofficial screen captures that recently appeared online.

In the "Nightmare On Elm Street" reboot, Krueger stalks a group of suburban teenagers after their parent's vigilante justice transforms him into an unstoppable entity. As a dream-stalking killer, he leaves no chance to escape for his prey.

First-time director Samuel Bayer is helming the film, which is based on a script by Eric Heisserer and Wesley Strick ("Wolf," "Cape Fear"). Bayer gained acclaim for his commercial and music video work, including the videos for Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and Green Day's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams."

The film hits theaters April 30, 2010, and stars Kyle Gallner (Jennifer's Body"), Rooney Mara (Urband Legends: Bloody Mary"), Thomas Dekker ("Laid To Rest", "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles"), Kellan Lutz ("The Twilight Saga: New Moon), Katie Cassidy ("Taken," "Supernatural") and Clancy Brown ("Carnivàle," "The Burrowers").
