James Marsh To Helm 'The Vatican Tapes'
Supernatural thriller follows an exorcism gone wrong
"Man on Wire" director James Marsh will unleash "The Vatican Tapes," a supernatural thriller about the aftermath of a botched exorcism.
The film follows the events that unfold after a tape of the exorcism gets leaked from the Vatican.
Chris Borrelli ("Whisper") will script based on a story he wrote with Chris Morgan.
Gary Lucchesi, Tom Rosenberg, Chris Cowles and Morgan are producing for Lions Gate Entertainment and Lakeshore Entertainment Group. Borrelli and Chris Fenton ("Still Waiting...") are executive producing.
Marsh's documentary work earned him eight awards, including an Oscar for his documentary "Man on Wire," which chronicled Philippe Petit's high-wire walk between the twin towers of the World Trade Center. His most recent film, "Red Riding: 1980," received solid buzz at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year.
